Default selling my KLX

Thanks to everybody that offered answers to my questions. I am going to sell my KLX, time to move on, really starting to like cruisers cause I am getting old. I really like the Honda Shadow and want to get on in a trade for my bike. I live in Essex County NY if anyone is interested in a trade or purchase, send me a PM. Thanks again to everyone here, I have never seen so much knowledge in any other forum of any kind.
2006 KLX250S, 5600 highway miles, new tires, bags....perfect shape

If things are still the same in honda land the shadow spirit would be the one to look for not the ace model. I have friends with both and the ace was built to be harleyesque in the crankpin offsets- more vibes-less operator comfort. The only problem they had was their 99 models had a fuel pump trouble. Two friends wrestled through the usual trouble shooting before their day of discovery and the other buddy I was able to tell him about it and he verified a check for pump failure and replaced it without the r&d the others went through. Until they realized it even had a fuel pump(shop manual) it was pretty fustrating for them to make sense of things. Other than this and not being too forgiving of slightly low battery conditions the bikes never miss a lick.

Lot of choices out there- best wishes
My one friend down the street has a mint silver spirit model with a new fuel pump but we are in fl. I know he wants to trade for a bike like ours (street legal enduro) but I don't know if he'll think the 250 is big enough.

If you're really getting old, I'm 81, you might want to think this through a little more. I recently sold my 250s and got a 250sf with the 351 kit. I also sold my Moto Guzzi 1100 cc cruiser and will be selling my BMW 900/6 airhead. All this because I'm getting old.

I loved the Moto Guzzi, but it weighed over 500 lbs. It was hard to push around, and there was no way I was going to be able to pick it up if I dropped it. I decided my best compremise for a bike to ride into the golden years was a nice light motard that was low enough to throw a leg over, and light enough to pick up if I dropped it.

Of course if you're still traveling then a cruiser is great, but if you're only riding local back roads or bar hopping, then a crusier is kind of overkill.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Norm

I guess I am getting older not old,I am 40, looking to expand a little, I would love to keep the klx and just buy another ride outright...but I am married, need I say more.I have already decided that if doesn't move this weekend I will just keep it for another year.
BeenThere, still riding at 81? God bless you brother, I just hope to be functional at that age, let alone riding, I could only amagine the things you have seen looking over your handlebars.
BTW, went for a ride this morning, it doesn't help me want to sell it.

Just for reference, I would have to say that the majority of us here on KF are around 40 OR older.
I'm 44
