I got the soft. I "soft" is the same as the stock foam. I did just use the original seat cover and re-staple. Ultimately, though, I've got a custom seat on order. With the stock seat, I start to squirm after about 20 or 30 minutes on the road. I can ride all day off-road no problem but on the road is a different matter entirely.
