Default Saddlebags and the Nomadic Rack

I've noticed that a few members here have the Nomadic Rack on their KLX250's so I was hoping those of you with the rack could help me out.

I'm looking at buying some "rack-less" saddle bags for my new-to-me 2010 KLX, such as Wolfman E12 or Rolie Bag System but I am worried that the rack will interfere with how the bags mount and ride. Does anyone have experience with combining saddlebags with the Nomadic? As always pictures are great.

On another note, I'm looking at the Dirt-Bags system as well. The price is discouraging but I really like the design. But again, I'm worried about mounting. I have seen pictures of the Dirt-Bagz rack on pre '09 bikes but not on the newer bikes. The newer bikes have a different fender and maybe a different subframe so the Dirt-bagz rack must be different. Does anyone know if there will be interference between the 2010 Dirt-Bagz and the Nomadic?

While I can't directly answer your question, I have a Nomadic rack and plan to use these side racks for my soft bags:

PMR - Kawasaki KLX250S/SF Side Utility Racks (2009 - Present) - $83.99 USD

At $85.00 for the racks it seems an inexpensive way to assure I don't get my soft bags into anything I don't want them to. The fellow that makes these says if you order and tell him the year of your KLX and the fact that you have a Nomadic rack, he will throw in some spacers that make it all work together.

Good luck.

I just put my tool pouch back on today. The original owner opted to leave it off. I have found it makes the rack work much better for tying down small items because they press up against the pouch and it isolates them. I plan to leave it on so that adds another dimension to my question. Do rack-less saddlebags work well with that pouch left on? Or does the pouch force the bags too far forward?
