Default Rubber plug/seal around front brake and fork?

Hello, I'm a complete noob here.

I have a rubber plug/seal that is for the bolt that holds the brake to the fork? It was pulled out and I can not find out how to get this piece back in.

It fat on both ends of the plug, I don't find it possible to actually push it back into place. The whole attachment feels loose now. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey, not sure if this will work, but see if the steel sleeve in the center will push out. If it will, then you can deform/crunch it up a bit to get it into the hole, and then when its all back into the correct shape in the correct position slide the inner sleeve back in.

Looks pretty clear that the part has torn off the end that still remains in the caliper.

Part 49006 is the rubber boot that goes into the caliper, the end of his is torn off.

I just looked at my bike and that piece is still there. I think it's a rubber gromment, maybe the outside part tore off the inside part. I have no idea what that part does, but you'll probably have to dig the old part that is still in there out before you can put a new one on.
