I found a jet kit for the klx300 (2nd stage for modified airbox) by UMI..and it's only 60 bucks, but the K&N dynojet kit is about 150 bucks? is this right or is the UMI kit possibly not what I want?--any help would be great.

Also I read somewhere that a jet kit for the klx300 is what to order, BUT I'm curious if that UMI kit would come with the proper jetting options (main jet options, pilot jet options)..

 

The only one I know of is the one by DynoJet listed in the common part numbers thread at the top. Personally I just bought the factory parts for the adjustable needled, and bought the 125, 128, 130, 132 main jets from the local bike shop. The jets were about $7 each, the adjustable needle I don't remember the cost as I bought that last year.

Sounds like a rebadged DJ kit. The KLX300 uses the same carb so I'd say thats the one you want.

RM-MC has them for $48 (listed as FMF but it is Dynojet).

I think I'll give it a shot...this information came from the same company I usually order my stuff through at my local bike shop.I have had good luck with them, but I'll be sure to ask a few questions at the counter prior to placing my order..I went to the dynjet website and saw a similar price for their jet kits and they come with the different jets so I think I'm on the right track with this one (UMI).
