I am trying to find a replacement tube for a 2006 and am not having much luck. The last tube I bought was a Zeta High Speed Throttle Tube
SKU: ZE45-5101, which had a larger inner-ring than the 2006 takes (sold to a member who put it on his 2009, I believe). Has anyone had any luck with an aftermarket quick-turn tube for a 2006?? I saw this one, but I am not sure if it will fit, and I don't want to spend the money on it unless I know for sure:

Sorry, I can't answer your question. But I do recall a conversation here or on another forum warning against aluminum tubes for dirt bike riders. Something about the risk of having a throttle stick from a crash and dent, and that the plastic ones may rub but wouldn't stick as easy. No personal experience. YMMV.

 

I use aluminum tubes on all my bikes (it just worked out that way) , and have never had a problem - and I know how to crash.

 

I suppose I'll have to order the stock plastic replacement... unless there is a good way to upgrade the throttle housing to 200x date that is compatible with the quick turn throttles some of the members here have?

 

You may check with Zomby more. He had an '07 I think before his current '09.

 

I used a motion pro vortex complete throttle assembly on my 07 and removed the return cable. Common mod and it worked great.
