Default Repair question

I have a small leak in my radiator hose. I am going riding next wednesday and don't want to have to take it in to the dealer for warrenty work. I have the hose ordered and will replace myself. Any thing out of the ordinary from just replacing the hose and refilling the coolent? Do I need to let it run with the radiator cap off for a few to make sure all air is out? And, what is the best anti-freeze to use? Thanks in advance for your help.

Default RE: Repair question

I've always used the leave the cap off and blip and rev the throttle method to bleed the system on my sportbikes. I've typically used a name brand premixed 50/50automative coolant. Be sure to get new hose clamps. You could reuse the old ones, but spending the extra $2.00 might prevent you from having a really bad day.
