I removed BOTH my secondary throttle plate AND the primary throttle spring as well. Now the ECU has NO CONTROL over the primary throttle at all, neither OPENING or CLOSING. The engine is more responsive both opening the throttle as well as closing the throttle The primary throttle spring holds the throttle plate upen after the throttle is released, for a "soft close", and also makes that manic fast cold idle.
I ride steep canyon roads, so the immediate engine braking is welcome. And the engine cold starts perfectly. It just idles at the regular idle speed instead of racing. The primary spring just comes out with a needle nose pliers (watch where it flies!) It's worth a try. If you don't like it, you can always simply put it back in in a few seconds.
