Remove snorkel vs airbox lid

After rejetting I ran without the airbox lid but I didn't like how the airbox seemed to resonate making the intake noise quite a bit more noticable (I have reasons to keep my bike as quite as possible). I put the cover back on without the snorkel which reduced the noise level quite a bit. Seat of the pants dyno said no difference, I guess my *** just isn't calibrated to less than .1 BHP. IMHO this one is in the same pile as the crankcase breather mod.

FWIW I've been running lid off on my bike pretty much since day 1. Few k miles on the 250 with 128 jet, and now a few K on the 351 with a 132 jet. Never even tried the lid on.
Bike always runs great.

Thanks CousinLarry! I kinda wish that it had black forks and black engine case like my FZ1 parked behind it... black plastic, black wheels, black forks, and black engine would just look really cool....
