Rekluse Cutch Install
#12
The BMW 650X install went fine. It was a little harder due to the cable clutch so you have to take more stuff apart and adjust the cable slack afterwards, and has a little mechanism inside you need to put together in a certain way with a snap ring to hold it all in place, but otherwise it was very similar to my bike. Mine has a hydraulic clutch so none of that was necessary.
The guy I was doing it for is selling his "X" in an even trade for an almost new KTM 690 with only 800 miles on it. The guy buying the X bought the Rekluse, had it shipped to him and he was to install it as part of the deal. I didn't ride the "X", I didn't want to risk dropping it just a 2 days before he delivers it to its new owner, but it seemed to work OK for him as he was going up and down my street, breaking it in. The main reason the other guy wants the "X" is for its anti-lock brakes. The guy selling the "X" rides mostly dirt and sand, so the anti-lock brakes aren't any good for that, and says the 690 will suit is riding much better.
No video of the "X" Rekluse install.
