The reason I can't use klx-250s much for shopping and running some nearby errands is because it didn't have any luggage space. I don't want to buy more luggage when I already have some from other bikes. But how to re-use them?

I found a way is to re-use the Variable Size Top Case from my BMW F650GS. I do need to buy a new carrier plate for this project.

This is not economical if you do not already have a top case. Because the Vario Top Case is almost $500 and the carrier plate is abut $180.

And you will spend a lot of time doing design and custom build, searching the right length and type of bolts and nuts to fit it. But when it is done, you do have a sense of accomplishment that "buyology" do not offer.

You should take a look at the CycleRacks rack, it'll transfer some of that mass down to the passenger pegs.

 

No trunk light inside, I had been thinking about that before. But decided it could drained my battery if it malfunctioned.

Original box doesn't have electric connection. I installed the 12V outlet inside the box, so I can keep whatever gadgets charged while I am riding.
