Raising Handlebars on '09 KLX250s
I'm 6'5" and trying to raise handlebars by 2-3". Is it possible to put in a riser bar? Is there enough cable length to allow that? Is there a different handle bar design that would help?
If anyone has done this before I could sure use some advice.

I'm new to the forum and new to dirt bikes, so thanks for the tips. I'll keep searching the previous posting.
Not seeing any info on how much cable length will allow increasing the bar height.

I just put a Renthal Raptor Bend Bar on my 09 and the throttle had to be placed around 3/8" inward on the bar so as to not bind up when turning the handlebars all the way. I'm 6'4" so I wanted something higher, too. I tried risers from twistedthrottle.com before buying new bars but, the cables just were'nt long enough.
kx bends are the highest you can go with stock cables. with you height, i would recommend my set up. 3/4th risers, tusk atv bends (big bars), and motion pro clutch cable. the throttles will be close, but it will work. i like my bars pretty high cus i stand a lot, but it should be just right for you.
Forward riser bars have been recommended to me as they move the handlebars 1.5" up and 1.375" forward. They seem to only work for 7/8" bars. Has anyone ever tried these on an '09 KLX 250? This would seem to provide the height and not bind the cables.
