I know it's barely Tuesday Vrfpilot but any word, good or bad?
It's like christmas when you know what you're getting and it's what you really wanted!

Haven't heard anything yet, I am planning on picking it up on Friday, unless there is some difficulty with fitting it up.

Just got an email from Brian with a picture of the right side guard (fan side). Thought you all would be interested in the progress. He said we're still on track for me to pick it up on Friday.

DAMN RIGHT!! That looks great!

Looks like they'll be needed by the scuffed up stickers on the fork. I was always amazed at how much damage I would do to my radiators without even knowing.

That looks mighty good to me.

For a group buy, do I need to start a thread in this forum or somewhere else? If we can get 10 people to commit, we will get a good price break. If things work out, I will ship basically at my cost with little to NO mark up on shipping, boxes, tape, etc. Depending on the size of the boxes these come in, shipping might be on dimensional weight and not actual weight though. My guestimate on shipping is around $15 or less, especially if I can use the USPS Priority Mail boxes that don't cost me anything or if I can re-use the boxes these will ship in to me from the source. Without knowing the final retail cost on these, I'm guessing we will save about $30 versus buying from some e'tailer at some point in the future.

Final details on pricing are TBD so, please use the numbers above as a general starting point. I'm trying to be conservative but, I have no hard pricing data to work with right now so, please keep that in mind when I work out the details on the group buy and start pricing the shipping costs.

I"m in. I'd really prefer Black Anodized. I know this is an upgrade charge ($15 I think?). I know nothing about how to do a group buy though. I think you could just ask people to confirm on here (I think quite a few have in the last few pages) and once you get a final price I guess everyone would PayPal you individualy.

Looks like things are really turning out good. I've been wanting to find some good guards/braces for ages now and frankly, it just rocks that something finally came through!.

You can count me in on the group buy. I'm not about to pass up on a good set as I feel I need them anyways. I just ride to hard and radiators are to fragile and expensive to play with in my eyes if the option is there.

Needless to say, let us know as the details flow, and thanks so much for geting this rolling!.

Anodizing options are unknown at this point. If stuff is anodized in batches, that could add a delay in the whole process and possibly some extra shipping costs. I have no idea at the moment if that is an option or what cost that might add.

Personally, I don't want "one of" options holding up the group buy if everything ships in one bulk order to me. If stuff can be dropped shipped, that opens up some options but, it also increases the paperwork and time spent tracking things and making sure they goto the correct location. (10 identical units shipped to 10 addresses is easier then the other possibilities but, it's all do-able with a little extra effort.)

Agreed.
I don't want to be a headache, but if it becomes a possibility at all that would be my preference. It appears the anodizing is a easy option he offers and the only two colors on most of the Kawi guards at this point and Black and Gold. I guess once some more specifics are finallized that would be a better time to bring that up. Thanks for getting together the group buy, we all stand to benefit from all this teamwork!

I will say that the black anodized guards are really sweet looking. I got a set for my son's KX250F and they really look good on the bike. The black option might be something to consider.
