Race tech gold valve for KLX forks. S or SF ??
I know you guys don`t get the SF model in the US but does anyone know what the difference in the fork valving is ?
I ordered springs and gold valves for my forks and now i realise that Racetech have sent the wrong ones.
FMGV 2001 - KLX 250 S 2010. (This is what i should have)
FMGV S2040G - KLX 250 SF 2010. (This is what they sent )
Still waiting to hear what Racetech are going to do about it as it takes about 3 - 4 weeks to get things here from the US i wondered what the difference in the forks are ?
Cheers
George

Its possible that Racetech simply uses different valving specs for the two models due to the application (one is street oriented, the other dirt) but I don't know for certain.

Thanks Wildcard, Once Racetech come back to me i will share the information.
No hurry now as i will have to make a bushing for my starter idler gear now anyway.

I got an email from Racetech engineering stating that the gold valve kit they sent will not work on my bike, Then i got an email from Racetech sales stating that it will work no problems. So i am waiting for clarification.

This is the gold valve they gave me, Does anyone think it is the same as the one they fitted?

Nope.. definitely different than mine. Attached is a picture from one of Arctra's posts showing his FMGV 2040 parts. My FMGV-2040 parts differed just a bit, as three of the larger oval ports were cross-divided on the short axis... turning one large oval port into two smaller ports.. if that makes sense. The divider was pretty thin, so not much volume difference between one large part and two smaller ports. All the ports were straight through..no deflection like on the model you have.
