Default Quick turn throttle

So I'm having a blast with the KLX, but the last item on my bucket list is not to have to reach around to grab a handful of throttle. Is there any replacement throttle that fits without having to mess with the starter/ stop controls that are built I to the original throttle on the 2012s?

Most of us who like the quarter-turns use the Motion Pro Vortex model. It uses only 1 cable so you'd have to disconnect the "push" cable. Otherwise fits right on.

It's not a direct fit on 2009 and newer, because of the integrated switches. I do have a Vortex on mine, but I also added separate switches, and modified the wiring harness.
There probably is a direct replacement quick turn throttle tube that will work with the OEM housing, but I haven't ever looked for one. I think others here have though.

Doh!!!

I too have been quite irritated with the long turn throttle on the newer generation. It sucks in the woods and it sucks on the road, especially when merging onto the highway.

use a ZETA aluminum quick turn throttle tube. took me a while to find it, most people on here don't have one as far as I know. But it works great.

Thanks Lutz, but I'm trying to keep my original switch setup.
Does anyone have a part. Umber for the Zeta tube?

I have the Zeta tube. Its only 8-10% less turn and has reduced contact with the handle bar.
