Default Question for you guys...

i was just wondering what is the difference between an off road and a motocross bike? Im guessing the motocross bikes have a better suspension, and more power, and are made for jumping, and the off road bikes arnt... just curious.. thanks guys...

Off-road bikes have a few creature comforts, ie. electric start, radiator fans, real electrical systems, etc. Motorcross bikes are bare bones racers. Kick start, no fans, no battery, .... basically anything that adds a few ounces is taken off and thrown away. Suspensions are more tuneable. You get the idea.... motorcross bikes are NOT made to trail ride. They will overheat in a heartbeat. They are basically set up to go ***** out for 6 - 10 laps and then cool down. Then look forward to rebuilding the top end about every 7 - 10 races.
