I was out yesterday just cruising and went out of town a couple of miles, and even with the 13-45 gears, I was at 65mph and 7.5 grand. It felt fine to me. No wind whip, no vibrations, and no wobble, it must be the mudflap that steadies the bike.[8D][8D][8D]

the red is awesome man. you'll love how the silver components with the black thrown in here and there look with the red. It's different but you don't really notice it too much. There's no mistaking it for anything besides a kawi. Feel lucky to get a red one. They'll be the minority for sure.

no it just changes where the power is, down low or up top.... most of us geared our bikes down low.

With an 09 you may not need to regear but I'll let 09KLXOWNER chime in here. I have an 06 with a 13 tooth front sprocket and it pulls good to 70, and will gradually creep to 85 if I keep the throttle pinned. It turns more rpm at those speeds than stock by about 700 rpm more but the low end torque makes up for it in my book.

If I had it to do over and was going to buy the 09, I would get red, I guess deep down I'm a Honda fan. I have always liked red bikes, even though green is somehow faster.[8D]
