Default quarter-turn throttle?

It occured to me last evening as I was trying to loft the front wheel in 2nd...

The KLX could benefit from a quarter-turn throttle. At least those of us who don't have a pumper carb know what I mean. It's a drag trying to wrack the throttle that hard.

Anyone have one? Results?

Do you have a link to the motion pro one? Know if it will fit the 09?

I believe this is the one I used:

MOTION PRO VORTEX THROTTLE KAWASAKI KX 125 250 92-08 | eBay

It gets rid of your second throttle cable - so if you don't want to do that, don't get it.
FWIW, I've had this almost as long as I've had the bike (~4yrs) with no probs.

ahnh666 - In short, makes it so you have to twist less to get to full throttle.

Easy install, no pics, but nothing to see really..

Disconnect both throttle cables from stock tube
Remove stock tube assembly
Remove the "push" throttle cable completely
Slide on the vortex throttle, connect "pull" throttle cable
Ride like the wind - na na na na, na naaa naaaaa!

It will fit on an '09, but not without modifying the wiring harness and/or getting a different on/off/start switch. There's a thread here somewhere on how I did it.

Edit: here's the link: https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...tle-kit-35705/

is that like the same exact one you have on your bike? the picture just looks a little cheesy to me it looks like a cheaply made piece. but if it is a real motion pro product then i may have to give it a shot
