TNC, have fun on your trip take a few pics for us. I leave Friday for some time days in the mountains myself. Mad river trails for about 3 days then Foggy dew trails for a couple days. Some of the stuff is a little extreme for the klx so I'm taking 2 bikes, klx and crfx.

heavy tubes? I've had good luck with kenda tuff tubes. They aren't the thickest you can buy but I've never flatted with them. They don't osmosis as fast as some other (natural rubber) tubes either, put 12psi in them today and you still have 12 a month later. With super thick tubes you really have to use the right size tube for the tire or they can tend to do an inch worm walk in the tire and tilt the valve stem over. Something that more stretchy standard tube don't seem to have trouble with (when used a size too small). Just something to consider, I learned the hard way.

Where is "foggy dew" trails? I grew up in Silverdale, will be going to Lake Wenatchee this weekend.
