Default Pricing help on 2009, please.

I've got a chance to purchase a red 2009 KLX250S with 1,110 miles on it for $2,750. Is that a decent price, a steal, or just average?

Matt,
Now, I haven't laid eyes on it yet, but the guy that owns it said that the only thing wrong with it that he is aware of is that the white plastic venting piece that's in front of the radiator is cracked on one side. He said he purchased it with 900 miles on it from a local Honda dealership that had taken it in on a trade. If you don't mind, I'll PM you a link to it so you can take a look at it. (Not that it's going to tell you any more than I already have).

That's a great price, I haven't seen too many bought for less on here. Plastics / parts can be replaced, so don't worry about that. I'd ride it and see how it feels. Can you go through all the gears, does it shutter at high speeds, how are the breaks, etc. Finally ask him what's been serviced and when. A bike well maintained should be a no brainer.

I like that camo wrap, Brien. What did you use to do it?

I'd offer $2500 and see where it goes. Find as many issuses as you can and point them all out.

I say decent price, not a steel, especially for this time of year when prices in cold country are often a little depressed.

I've decided to let this one pass. I finally noticed that the bike was missing ALL of it's decals and that bothers me. I knew something didn't quite look right, and then it hit me! It would take approx. $150 just to put new decals or a wrap on it. Here's a link to it: http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/4179413685.html
Asking price is $3,000, but over the phone the guy said the least he'd take would be $2,750.
I think I'll just let this one roll on.

Your letting it go because it doesn’t have the decals? A lot of people remove them. Some like the plain look. I don’t think it has anything to do with the bikes reliability. I removed mine and replaced them with ones I made. I like to be different.

$2,750 is a good price.
