Previous Owners!.... (Rant warning)... *grin
Pulled the carb today. Jetting is the Dynojet Stage 1 setup... 120 main, #3 slot on the needle, 3 turns out on the mixture screw.
I did the extra ground on the R/R and moved the screw to only 2.5 turns out, and tried to drill the starter jet to .018. I didn't get much feedback from the bit, and it never seemed to bottom out, so I don't know if I did any good. It starts pretty good cold, especially if you do the bit where you slowly pull the choke out while running the starter.
The miss in the 5-6k range seems to be gone, or at least greatly reduced. It is also about 20 degrees warmer than it has been for the last couple weeks, so that may have something to do with it.
Anyone have an spare DJ128 main jet they want to send me for Christmas?

I reckon I will call DJ next week some time and see about an individual jet or two.
Oh yeah, rode to the store about 5 miles up the road... my Versys isn't exactly a beast, but the KLX feels like a moped by comparison
