Default Poor man's ThermoBob

One of the inmates over on AdventureRider came up with a clever way (read cheap) to get most of the benefits of the ThermoBob at less than 20% of the cost. https://advrider.com/f/threads/long-...07591/page-868 and go to post 17359 for a parts list, step by step and pictures.

It took me less than an hour to install his "kit"

With the same thermostat (195 deg) it would pretty much be the same. If I'd have seen that port I'd have done it too,

I'd recommend it due to the fact that it will make the cylinder temperature uniform top to bottom with the bit of flow it allows while the thermostat is closed and the engine warming up. It is no gimmick, virtually every automobile has a similar bypass system to serve the same purpose.

As soon as I can figure out what/which 195 degree stat to buy, I'm going to put one in.

Couple of my ktm's use a stat, but it's kinda a joke because they open at 70F room temp so it's nothing like a automobile. Only useful on real cold morning if you fail to warm the bike up.
