Default Please help me with my 09' mods!

I've spent hours reading info from this site. I've found great info. I just can't find what is the definative solution in one post.

Is the carb on my USA model 09' the same as the older bikes?
I'm thinking about:
N1TC (2 or 3 down from top???)
Clip
Collar
125 main
Drill slide to 7/64"
KDX200 Snorkle
Kouba screw.
I live at 2,000ft.
Do I really need a 38 pilot?
What is this about filling two small holes with epoxy?
Can I get equal results by shimming my OEM needle and not purchasing the N1TC?
Doe's anyone have part #'s and where is a good place to purchase from?

I was thinking about drilling the exhaust, then I got to thinking about cutting out the small tip and welding in another larger one, about 1" or so. Would this work to open it up or would I still have to drill the first plate? I've heard a drilled exhaust and it's sound was acceptable. I don't want loud and will not spend for the Q4.
How noticeable is the change with these mods?

I'm also looking to stiffen up the front end.
I weigh about 170lbs. Are the .42kg/mm front springs from Moto-Pro what I need? What are the stock springs?

I've got the 13t on the front. I like it. I still wish 1st gear was lower but keep the others the same.
Thanks

ill try to answer what i can.

n1tc has a better taper for more midrange then stock, so i would say go that route. stock pilot is fine (what i run). i never drilled the slide personally, and i have no clue about the epoxy trick.

woulds say order from bikebandit, but im having a hard time returnin some rotors right now, so well see how that goes. dealerships can always get it too.

personally, i wouldnt drill the exhuast. theres a cat in there so if you area does smog or inspections, you may need it they way it is. the older versions didnt have a cat so it was easyer there.

.42 should work. i weight 145, so about 160 loaded, and ride like a bat out of hell and they work great for me.

i run the 13 most the time, and only wish 6th was a real overdrive so you could pull the singletrack gearing and still blast the freeway.

well good luck with the mods, youll be every happy you did them.

Filling the two small holes on the carb slide is only for the Australian bikes.
I'm about 175 w/o gear. I bought some .44kg moto pro springs off a member here and they are not too stiff for me, in fact I think I could have gone stiffer.
good luck
Dan
