Default Pine Barrens Ride Pics (pics and vid clips)

first off I wanna thank Eric, Pat, and Jimmi for the awesome weekend.. this was the first type of event like this that i have attended and it was an awesome experience!!! Id like to also give a shout out to every1 else that made the event so much fun and a great time. Also a big shout out to those damn drunken Irishmen!

ok on with the show............

1. heres the leanto josh and i crashed in. it was a bit sparse but it did the trick...
note to self.. when you wake up half bag'd at 4 am DONT crack ur head on the rafters.

2. break time on the trail! it was hot as hell down their too.

4.

Some riders comin down the trails towards us while we were waiting for them names excluded ;>
5.

Heres a great pic that shows what the area looks like where the huge fire was. the scenery in this area was totally surreal.
6.

and another shot of the same with the trail in the center... notice the texture of the terrain.. it was straightup sugar sand for 95% of the ride.
7.

heres the local hotspot for lunch.
8.

looks like johhny law wanted in on the fun.. actually this guy was a total d1ck.. he was right up our a55es as soon as he pulled in.. actually checking the tires to see if they were DOT approved.. unfortunately not all were and we ended up sending one rider back to camp till we returned that night and threw some road legal rubber on his bike for the next day. by the way, if your ever in the Pine Barrens and see this guy run the other way.
9.

heres collie tryin to make googly eyes at the guy. i dont think the irish charm worked collie. lol.
11.

heres a pic of all the bikes that attended the first day at the lunch break.
13.

patrick looking enthused
18.

heres one of our stops involving the local history. if i remember correctly this was a part of the original town in the Pine barrens. i believe this structure was a paper mill at the time.
21.

heres a pic of the Christini bike piloted by Ron that joined us to ride the 2nd day.
31.
and another
33.

heres a pic of brian with his KTM.

all i can say is that the experience was an awesome weekend.. and once again i wanna say thanks to all for the great time...
im going to include a link here to download all the pics and vid clips in an unmolested format from a file hosting site for any1 that would like the hi-res versions plus all the pics/vid that i didnt feel warranted taking up more room in this thread but were still good pics (106MB).. the pics/vid will be zip'd so that every1 will be able to easily unpack them (xp will unpack winzip files without installin the program), if you dont have winzip google it.
**********link to all pics/vid untouched: http://www.sendspace.com/file/xt7h8s

Here's a couple shots I took.

One of the riders on the dualsport trials course.

Same rider shortly after the first pic was taken...........names withheld to protect the guilty you know who you are.

Kicka$$ weekend, can honestly say I've never had that much fun! Even taking four crashes into account I had an absolute riot, that sand is soft stuff and even going down at 30mph its just a dust cloud and you pick it up and keep going.

O yea..... Note: dont ride in very dusty conditions, especially whoops AT NIGHT.... bad idea... and the ticks out there were horrible. And if your going to stop on the trail get off of the trail dont stop in the middle thats how accidents happen.... thanks jimmi... my leg is black and blue from that.... Just want to say one more thing

Thank you Nate.
With out you lending me your bike i wouldnt have went on that trip thank you so much. hope you like ur muzzy.

Must just be a funny camera angle or something, my bike isn't that big - seat height is about like the KLX. I'm very happy with it - runs and feels great! By day 2 I was starting to get the hang of the soft sand and the feel of the bike in it - definitely a different experience than what I normally ride. All the rides were great - Jimmi did an awesome job of laying out a route and keeping the crew together. On day 2 Patrick had his trials course set up and it was like watching poetry seeing Ron on the Christini bike flow through it like the wind! After that, Linsey's crew took on a tour through some fire breaks and single track - that was just incredible and such a blast. I learned a helluva lot this weekend and have to say that was the most fun on a bike I've ever had. Not to mention the great company - meeting all you in person was a privilege. I think everyone had a great time.
