I never really introduced myself, but I bought a KLX used (06) in mid January (07). Being mid winter here in Iowa(don't judge all of us) I have ridden it all of 1/4 of a mile but already parts are on their way. I just can't leave anything alone.

I have/have coming:
A set of Renthals
Real clutch perch ( I am getting rid of the elephant ear wind protectors)
Jetting mods
KLX 300 Exhaust

I already could not resist & have started pulling the BS parts off like the passenger pegs, seat strap, chain guard, etc. Not to mention the usual greasing of linkage & oiling of air filter since they can't seem to get it right at the factory.

I have had several bikes including street bikes, quads, and a94 CR250 97 RM 125 & 98 XR650L (sunk a boat load of $$ into), which is why I won't be too disappointed if I never get the chance to ride it with the stock intake/exhaust.

Oh, I got that aftermarket motion pro throttle tube too. The stock one seems too sloppy on the bar too me, I hope the replacement has tighter tolerances or something for a better fit, it was only $9.99.

Looking forward to hearing about this one in particular. You probably did not see my earlier post, but I was wondering if one of the Motion Pro tubes would fit our throttle assembly. I ended up not needing to do a replacement immediately, but I would like to know of a replacement option if/when it comes up.

Welcome aboard! I'm kinda anxious to hear about the motion-pro tube as well. Let us know if it has a ridge on the inner part(grip retainer?) like the stock one does. That thing can be a PITA if you go to after-market grips. It leaves about a 1/8" gap if your griprubber isn't flexible enough to go over it.
