I went with Acerbis Multiplo aluminum Hand guards and never looked back they have saved my levers from about 5 dumps and they came out unscaved. they really suck to mount to the stock bars so get yourself a set of aftermarket that won't bend.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!
This bike is awsome. It fits me and handles great. I tried to do the nice break in today...wow that's not going to last. Actually it really didn't even make it through toady Nothing crazy, but 4k is not possible.
I think tomorrow will be add-on day. We'll see how it goes.

On a side note my buddy from work took in his crotch rocket and traded it in on a red one today....I guess I should get credit for that sale

as for break in use "motoman's break in secrets" dunno if I can post a link but just search for break in secrets.
I personally used it and must say what he says is true and I believe cause I dumped the oil in my 09 after 18km and wow it looked like metallic paint....really change the oil and filter after 20 miles for sure and scrap the kawi break in there is no way that anyone can ride that bike at that low rpm

Yeah it was mostly that, wasn't sure what to do with the rocket, so At the advice of the guy above me he said just go sit on it. I was trailering it out of there the next day with his green one next to it. Good looking pair, I want the loudest pipe available already.

nope, re-jet, new pipe , gear change, wet nitrous system , 300 head, next week. Wish it was warmer.
