Ordered IMS tank......
LOL, Yeah, I'm the same way. My brain farts a lot.
I can see where the top bolts near the gas cap on the shrouds may not line up perfect. Mine didn't at first. So I loosened the side bottom tank mount bolts and really pushed down on the tank as I retightened them lowering the tank into the frame as much as possible. After that, the shroud holes lined up perfectly. That's why I had no issues. Sometimes you gotta take a step back, look and think about what's wrong, and what you need to do to correct it.
Please post pics when it's mounted up. Also, like said above, rinse out the tank before installing it. Mine had small plastic pieces in it as well. Looked like drill shavings from when the bottom holes were drilled

So it's on, had to finesse a bit but looks stock.
I can't see any direction on this, but I have the Non cali carbed, so where did everyone run their gas cap vent line? And how long?

Mine goes where they go on all MX bikes. 12 to 15" long and right into the steering stem hole between the bar mounts on the top triple tree. It's a hollow tube stem bolt. Pulls out easy when removing cap, and once cap is back on, easy to push it back in. If it's to short, it will keep popping out on ya. It's gotta go into the stem at least 5" or more inches.
Any pics? What color tank ya get?

Is the top triple tree hole covered by a cover or something? I don't have a hole in there
I am confused. I know WHERE the TT hole should be, and the manual shows an opening, but mine has the steering stem head nut with a chrome dome over it
Any special reason this can't be used?

It must be a pressed on cap. Anyway, yes, you could use those. I had one on my bike when I bought it, and took it off cuz it spits with a full tank of gas over bumps. Got tired of my truck smelling like gas from my gear.
