Off topic: FMX vid
If I understand correctly, he meant for me to make a vid like yours of riding in the woods.......only he was expecting my vid to turn out better than yours, which wouldnt happen because I would be doing nearly the same activities, plus my camera is crappier so... ya know.

A good camera helps, though. Actually, I think those wide angle hero's make it look faster than it really is due to the wide angle visual warping around the edges. I think the one you had made it look a lot slower, due to the narrow angle - was almost like a zoom. Mine is somewhere in the middle - I think it produces some of the most natural looking video, still not quite like being there, though.
Speaking of which, I've been on vacation all week, and have some video from my last ride (report posted week or two ago). It's on my list to mix that down to something presentable, watch for it in a few days.
I want to see you fly like an eagle 40ft in the air doing like a no handed superman or some crazy stuff.
However,
You flying like an eagle through the woods would be cool 2!!
I just like watching guys who can ride...ride, if ya know what I mean.
Seeing how I dont have a bike at all at the moment anymore, I need to get my riding fix by watching someone ride like I wish I could ride!!

Yeah, I knew that's what he meant. But come on, I'm just a weekend warrior out enjoying myself. You're a pro or former pro fmx rider. I doubt I could hold a candle to you whether its woods or ramps. And I'm OK with that.

When I'm on the KLX, I take it easy. I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere anymore.

So when was the last time you rode in competition?
There were 2 things I wanted to do as a young kid,
I wanted to grow up and be the next ice hockey star... my parents thought it would be better(cheaper) for me to be a pond hockey star instead...lol
I wanted to race dirt bikes. Just like in christmas story, I got the inevitable no, " you'll put your eye out kid"...lol So I used to have to go over to my friends houses and ride their bikes.
So I joined the military instead with the mind set of doing 20 years and retiring fat and happy.. 8 month into my enlistment i twisted my knee up real bad which ended my enlistment half way into my contract.
So now I am just fat! lol
j/k I am happy 2.
i still wish I could ride alot better than I do.

Its been years.
Theres an old saying, never mix business with pleasure.
I use to eat sleep and breathe riding. In order to ride MX and FMX you need to feel the "burn". When some MXrs ask me why I dont do it anymore I simply say I dont feel the burn anymore. Even though Im the only person so far to use that term everyone seems to understand what I mean. Riding MX isnt something you do to ride. When your on the bike on the track your not riding. Think of it more as simply performing a bodily function. The bike is part of your body and the bike needs to ride. You don't ride because you want to, you ride because you must. IF you do not do that, or feel that, .... its over. You can't fake it. This isn't sex.......its better. I have YET to encounter something better then flying off a jump and floating behind the bike in the air, then grab it and get back on.
Sure, I've slung my leg over a bike and hit some jumps since then, even did a few tricks. It never really goes away. But the burns just not there. If I see some good riding, it may come back for about 20 seconds and I'm all hopped up, but then after that it just twitters away. I had a CR250 Hell beast I sold last year. I sold it because all it did was sit. I barely rode it. Once every 6 weeks or so I took it out for literally 5 minutes just to rip and tear it around and keep it running. I figured if that was all I was doing then it needed to go. May as well get some cash back out of it. One of the other reasons I didn't ride it was because it was a super pain from where I lived to drive where the bike was load up then haul it. Super super super pain. The KLX is where its at. Just roll right out of my garage. Now, what would be even better is if I had a 4 stroke 450 MX/ Enduro bike legalized. I feel that would be a great medium. Like how one of our own forum members has that KLX 450 thats road legal............yeah, thats awesome.
But anyway, back to the MX stuff......being in the business ruins it for ya. FMX sucks and MX and SX isnt great either. But FMX is the worst. Just alot of immature crap...backstabbing..jackasses. Its unreal what you DONT see. And like I said in the beginning of the post, dont mix business with pleasure. I eat and breathed riding and it damn near ruined it for me. I wen't years afterwards without riding at all. At one point I honest felt I would never ride again. But time heals all wounds I guess.
But now. When I'm offroad, I'm in 1st or second gear...depending on what sprockets I have on. I'm in no hurry to get anywhere. And its actaully kind of funny because now I'm back riding in the places I use to go before FMX and its funny to see people make such a big deal out of the smallest stuff....ah, memories.
