The Off Season

The Off Season
So what's your off season thing?
I don't actually have an off season, as I ride all year, but I don't ride off-road in winter.
Not riding off-road makes me grumpy. I used to go snowboarding to fix that feeling. I love riding to the mountain. But this winter the snow has sucked. And it hasn't been cold enough to ride the mtn bike with studs on the snowmobile trails...so I got a fat bike! I have been using it to go into the woods and see what the loggers are doing in the Nat. Forest behind my house. The thing is so much fun, as long as you're not in a rush. It's seriously the slowest rolling bike I've ever ridden. However, when going down a trail it handles much like a motorcycle.
I just put 4.8" studded tires on it. At 3psi on studded tires, I should be able to go almost anywhere. It's almost the same footprint as my snowshoes, but my snowshoes aren't both on the ground at the same time. Maybe that's why they named the tire Snowshoe....
Pic is about 300yds behind my house.
So what are you guys doing in the off season?

During my Winter off season until 8 years ago, I would ski every weekend. But now since my back is bad, I have the guys over from my old band and we jam in my basement. Basicly, I just play my guitars more often. Been playing 47 years now. My wife just complains about the higher electric bill since our amps eat up to much electric.....lol We played out in clubs back in the 80's and 90's, gave it up to start families, etc. Now that all the kids are grown up and moved out, we get together like the old days and have fun. End of March, the guys pack up their gear, and take it home until late Fall sometime. It's fun, but I'd rather be riding.

Snowmobile!!! But this year sucks big time so far. Only got a few hundred miles under the track. Closest thing to Dirtbiking short of a snowbike and groomed trails in Quebec are a blast.
Set to 720HD, Sorry no sound as even an R1 Engine sounds annoying after a while.

Spending the 1st 60 years in MN/IA I know this will be a little irritating, but the "off season" is the best season where I'm at now. Pics from a recent ride:
By the afternoon temps in the mid-60's, not quite so nice June-July-August.
