That may be the best solution-find someone on this board that lives close to where you are going to reside and swap the cluster while you get the inspection and then swap it back after the paperwork is done. SCREW THE MAN!!!

Can't you attach a small magnet to the drill chuck. I did that with my Vapor.

I like the way you guys are thinking. I don't know how about running up over 6k miles by drill or treadmill, it would take 60 hours at 100mph. Lol

The guy I bought it from is going to be moving to CA soon anyways, he is going to see if he can register it here in his name first. hopefully that works, sounds like that might be a pain also though.

If you can get him to do that, that would be your best bet. I don't see the benefit of running off 6,000 miles and devaluating your bike in order to register it here.

You could right down the mileage, do that to the tach, then replace for a vapor

If you install a vapor do you enter the mileage or does it start at 0?

The techs at TrailTech are reported to know how to enter a mileage. Call them to see. Could you install a Vapor with xxxx miles on the clock and then put your cluster back on? Would they know vapor from stock?

That's a good question, I'll look into that.
