Default No Airbox Cover + Water-crossings + No-Toil = TROUBLE!!!

I just ran across an interesting video regarding No-Toil air filter oil. Some guy does a couple "dunk tests" with different filters and different oils. The No-Toil air filter oil just lets the water pass right through the filter. The more traditional filter oils totally stop water.

Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpzK6Wm_BDs

Similar to most motorcycle topics (e.g. engine break-in methods, regular vs. synthetic oil, chain cleaning methods, exhaust systems, etc.), this too seems to generate a lot of discussion. Here's a link tothe thread where I found it: http://www.odsc.on.ca/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=8722

My position on the issue: "Buyer beware", "Your mileage may vary", "No comment", "You talkin' to me?" ... take your pick, I'm just passin' this along.

The first 2 filters had no oil on them, I used No-Toil for my last filter clean and it is red as you can see by this pic

The following is with the filter sock in place over the filter but you can see that it is red ... unlike in that video

These look neat, but at $44.95 a pair, its mighty spendy!!!
