As I am typing this my KLX250s is being assembled at the local shop. Over the last couple of days I have read almost every post on this forum and I must say that I am very impressed with the info that is shared and the help that is offered by all.
I have been an auto and light truck mechanic for about 14 years and have seen the affect that altitude has on smaller four stroke engines and two stroke for that matter. Could some of you please let me know what altitudes you typically ride, the mods you have done and results from them. I will be riding from about 4500- 8500 feet most will be at about 5000.

 

I ride sea level to 500 ft, no mods (well no engine mods) see my garage.

I sometimes get all the way up to 100 feet above sea level!

1500ft.- 6000ft mostly around 3000ft. 13 tooth c/s ,crankcase mod, airbox lid on, snorkel removed
