Welcome Marc, Reading the Hodaka name reminded me of my first bike. I was 14 in 1976 and my step dad (he was the best) bought me a used Hodaka. Here is a picture of the exact bike I had.

Good times. There was something about that first bike and it being a Hodaka. It was like not very many people heard of them or owned one, you knew even at that early stage that you were riding something special. I to this day still can't remember why we sold it. I must have been behind in my grades or something.[8D]

Yep That bike at that time was special I got alot of comments on it My friend had a ACE 100 Hodaka then Gods honest truth he could wheelie it threw all the gears and could do it around a oval track near me then he could do that on just about any bike he rode. MY how the bikes have evolved! .I recently saw a Wombat restored at Laconia Bike week at the campground I was staying at and when he fired her up and brought back fond memories they had a very different sound to them.. I threw a chain on mine and it damaged the side case and tranny as a teenager did not have the money to repair an sold it. Great Picture!
Welcome aboard! When I was wee little, my dad rode a Kawasaki F7 (175cc 2-stroke dual-sport). His best friend had a Hodaka Road Toad. I though it was the coolest bike I ever saw. I still think they're pretty neat.
