Hi all I'm new to this forum.
I hope some one can help, I'm looking to get some supermoto wheels for my klx 250 but can't seem to find anything anywhere.
Has any one here swapped there motorcross wheels for supermoto's ?

They are dirty, I just bought this bike a couple days ago, so no pics of my own. Sizes for Dunlop are as follows, front : 17 in, 110 width rear: 17, 130 width

( Now I need to unload all my S stuff, Rims, sprockets, caliper mount, fender, discs etc to someone wanting a bargain and going from SF to S )

 

once my s wheels arrive...i might sell my sf wheel set up...but, my wheels are for 2009+ model klx250 (newer models)...if you are looking for 2008 or earlier models, you should talk to 6thgear https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...-wheels-40217/

 

To do the swap you will need the front brake caliper holder from the SF and the brake rotor unless you swap over the S rotor. I kept the S front brake on mine as my wheels came sans discs.

Also you will need to get a new set of sprockets or the bike will not go over about 60 since you will be losing a lot of final drive ratio and something to reprogram the speedo with (12oClock labs DRD thingie works good) otherwise your bike will be going 60 and reading like 90.

That's assuming a 09+ KLX S to SF swap. Earlier years will be different i'm sure.

 

I needed to know where to get the wheels from, can I just swap my old wheels for the new supermoto wheels? Are any modifications required? I have a 2012 klx 250. Sorry for all the questions I'm a complete newb at this stuff.

I believe grahm bought his wheels from a factory parts vendor. Plan on spending about $1200 USD + shipping for just the wheels if you go that route. Got mine on ebay.
