Default Alternate wheels for the KLX 95-03 KDX 220 wheels ?

I have a line on a set of wheels (with sprocket, and rotors) that the seller lists as fitting a 95-03 KDX 220. I am pretty sure these will fit up with the only difference being the spacing of the mounting holes in the front brake rotor. I need to do a little more research but thought I would also put this out to you guys to see if anyone can confirm or deny that these wheels should work on my 07 KLX 250s.
Thanks Dan

I want the extra set so I don't have to wear down my good knobbies riding around town.
Found this post https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...f-29713/page3/
Looked up the part numbers here http://www.kawasakipartsnation.com/p.../C16C1629F2230 (bike bandit didn't list the whole part number just the prefix)

96 KDX 200
Front hub 41034-1217
Front rotor 41080-1377
Front caliper assy 43041-1576 caliper hanger 14079-1097
Rear hub 41034-1216

2007 KLX 250s
Front hub 41034-1243
Front rotor 41080-0080cm
Front caliper assy 43080-5119 caliper hanger 14079-1097
Rear hub 41034-1216

All the rear wheel numbers match. Everything on the fronts is different until you get to the caliper hangers which are the same. The axles are the same too.

The wheels from the KDX will fit straight up to the 07 KLX. The 2000 model KDX (same as the earlier model, i,e, it has conventional forks) has the same front axel and speedo drive as the 07 KLX, so the wheel will fit straight on. The front disc on the KDX will bolt straight onto an 07 KLX (the KLX has a floating disc and the KDX is a solid disc.) KLX650 wheels are bolt up too, as long as you have the discs (I can't recal is the 650 has the 300 or the 250 front disc.) Rear wheels are a bolt up too across the KLX, KDX range of bikes as the rear disc is common across the range and even on the 2011 bikes, although their disc is a 'wavy' patern.

?? on the part number differerences, but on out AUS site, some of the ealier KDX parts are no longer available and are superceeded by parts common to the KLX bike.

Thanks WestOz, sounds like I'm on the right track then, since the wheels are complete with rotors and sprocket. I'll post an update here once I get them and try them out.

I'm jealous. Really wanted a second set of wheels for the KLX.
Got a KLR instead.

Nice! congrats. I was thinking another bike would really be the way to go. Instead of swapping wheels I could just hop on a different bike. $200 for wheels, I have . $2000 for another bike, I don't have.

OK got my 1995 KDX 200 wheels in the mail yesterday. Complete with rotors and rim locks ( and giant sprocket ) $200 + shipping ($50) didn't seem like a bad price. I will test fit them here in a day or two and report back. It will be nice to swap wheels and save my good ***** for the dirt. I skipped a lot of pavement riding this summer because I wanted to save the tires for some serious dirt riding.
I would have liked to get the ice tires that he had mounted to the rims, but couldn't justify the extra cost. Crazy $$ they get for ice tires.

Well they fit! Good deal! Time to tear the bike down and clean things up now.
