New Uni filter
#11
I just clean the dirty air filter in the kerosene in my parts washer and it stays in there. Use it over and over and over. I dont wash anything down the drain.

Problem for me is disposal of used gasoline or kerosene. How do you get rid of it? Specially if you don't have a part washer, where I suppose the solvent is filtered and reused.

No-Toil is good stuff too. I just like the dual stage UNI a little better. Cleaning solvent and gasoline is about the only thing I can get to cut most of these quality air filter oils. After the gas on the filter dries completely, I wash the filter in a small bucket of warm detergent water. Works darned well, but there's always more than one way to skin a cat, as they say.

use it to start bon fires.

Washing in solvents or gas is a pain, then you STILL have to wash in soap and water. With Notoil, you just use the soap and water. If you're in a hurry, pop it into the dryer, and you're ready to ride in 5 minutes.

No solvents.
Soap and water, and if you're in a hurry, pop it into the dryer, and you're ready to ride in a few minutes.

Ah, thinking of it, I may have access to such a facility. Will check.

It's an idea, but one wash produces nearly enough solvent to start all the fires for one summer I switched to notoil last year, thus will use the dirty gas I accumulated before for the next few years...

Oh you younger generation. It's all about now, now, now with no regard to patience and hard work.
