thanks for all the info and pics guys.
I don't know what to do ... like I said, I can't hear the noise and I didn't do jack crap to it except wash it. Is that a viable fix? ... Washing the bike?

Doin ok, jrock.. Cant be on the web as much with the new job...
For the newer members, i believe my bike has had the most problems...
cam chain tensioner, timing chain, cases split, fixed the balancer gear, new exhaust cam, 2 new heads, 2 sets of valves, 1 cylinder, 1 piston, and a total of close to 5 months in the shop... im sure there is something im missing...

Hope this picture comes in. This is the chain tensioner, one large 12mm bolt in the middle, and two 8mm bolts on either side. In order to manually adjust the tensioner, slowly and evenly remove both 8mm bolts until you hear a click, then put them back in tight. I did this last week, and now my bike runs without the rattle at idle or at 4500 - 6000 RPM's.

Here are a few more of the tensioner removed:

I step away for a few months and more people come back with the same problem I been having. Actually today, I went to the Kawi dealer and ordered a few parts in hopes that it fixes it. I order a new Cam chain tensioner, and cam chain guides. Total cost, about $157 for parts. If this doesn't fix it, I'll order a new cam chain and possibly new cam sprokets and crank sproket, about another $150 more. As is, I have already did the forcing tensioner trick, but after 500miles, it comes back around 5k rpms.
This is the sound it did make with the cam tensioner naturally adjusted (not forced).
