Hi I have a 2006 KLX250S I bought last year that now has 1200 miles on it. I bought it with 600. It was immaculate!!
I've been getting better at riding on the single track and really pushing, but Sunday I took a really hard hit and broke my handle bars(and my ego).
I need to replace the bars but between my two choices of ProTaper and Renthal I'm not sure what to get(rise, width)??
Thanks!
Becky

It depends upon whether you need to change the ergonomics. I just installed the ProTaper "CR High" bars, and they are very similar in size and shape to the stock bars. I really like them, and the quality is top notch. If you need a change in geometry, you can use the CR High specs as a surrogate to the stock sizing and see what other options they offer that work for you.

Hi there! I bought the green rc honda/kawasaki bend Renthal fat bar. They are pretty much identical to stock shape except sit 3/4" higher as I had to use the 7/8" to 1 1/8" adapters (I found Pro Taper ones). I like the fat bars, no cross bar and they seem to have a little "give" to them. Correct me if I'm wrong folks but I believe Pro Tapers are now made in China and my Renthals were made in England. Renthal p/n 604-01. I see alot of members like the Reed/Windham bend and the taller folk seem to like the CR high bend. I'm 5'10" and mine are great. Tag and others make good cheap bars if price matters.
Kind Regards,
Freddy

Yea the 1-1/8ths looks nice, but the price of adapters and a second set of barkbuster mounts to fit the bigger bars makes it a 275 dollar set of handlebars :/ I'm too old to spend money like that, when 50 dollar 7/8ths bars send the bike in the right direction just as well... spend your money on gas/ suspension upgrades. It will do more for your riding than oversize handlebars
