Merry almost Christmas all!
New here to the forum, got my 09 klx250s-sunbeam red in October and thanks to the weather I've only gotten around 530 miles on it(live in Missouri). Love this bike!!
Can't wait till a factory rack is available so more errands can be run with the bike instead of the truck. I used this forum before I got the bike and you all helped steer me in the right direction with what I read.
Thanks for reading. Only mods I've done is the removal of brackets with the reflectors off the front and cutting off reflectors on license plate bracket and cutting off at scribe line the rear fender removing the reflector and about 4" of fender. Looks alot better.

Welcome Randy!

Turbocity.com makes some good racks for the 09. They don't have the pictures posted yet, but they appear to be availble for ordering.

Welcome to the asylum, Randy. By now you probably know a lot of the inmates.

I see Tremor has already chimed in on a rack. You might also try Cycleracks (sp?) though I'm not sure if they have one specifically listed for the '09. When I got my used '07 this spring I thought the stock rack looked pretty useless. I don't think that anymore, even though it won't take much weight it's darned handy to have.

Looks like the marketing boys at Kawi muffed up when they deleted the rack and added that ugly tail the '09 - arf! Nothing that a Dremmel won't cure though.

Have fun and keep the rubber side down.

Welcome to the forums man. And congratulations on the best bike out there. And yes Red might seem faster Hoedog but its not the color its the fact that its a dual sport that makes it superior.

The Deej.....Like The Donald. but with no money and better hair.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys! If it wasn't 7 degrees with a 13 below windchill I'd be out puttin on more break in miles. The owners manual is nuts saying to keep it under 4000 rpms for the first 500 miles. Even the dealership thought this was too low and that 6000 was more realistic. Oh well , another 400 and some miles and I can see what the bike can really do. Loving 6 gears!!
