A KDX rotor should fit the KLX hub on an 06-07...not sure about the 09. In any case, the hurdle would be getting a relocation bracket fabbed-up for the caliper.

It's probably easier to get a rotor for the KLX300R and drill the holes larger, then get bolts with bevel countersink heads.

Thanks Tremor Ill keep that in mind. I uncrated the KLX today and took it on a 66mile drive. Although I did not clamp down on the front brake it did seem to me that the stopping power was not as strong as I expected or would like for the amount of force I was pulling back with. Course I am mentaly compareing it to the 250 I rode 15years ago.
I am thinking that the best way to get better brakeing would be larger rotor(more leverage) Or would changing the master cyl to something that creates more pressure be a viable option?

Jim, congrats on finally getting the bike! It must have been like christmas morning for you
I think one thing that would help your brakes would be a braided stainless line. Bill Blue sells those too. Someone else sells them too, can't think of the name, actually I think its Gaffler?? google that.
Have fun with it.

Yea Dan it was like christmass morning. I bought this thing in september. Its been a while since I bought myself a toy of this size. Stainless brake lines was one of the mods alleready done. I will be getting a smog blockoff plate from Bill though. Brakes is something I want to improve on but not first on my list of mods. But this thread is addressing brakes and I like to make sure I am as informed as possible before I make a decision. Thought it would be good to start researching now and the guys on this forum are worth checking with IMHO. I have been reading old threads and am back to march so far. Problem is I have read so much I am haveing problems keeping things strait.
