new exhaust
There is no best model. Pick one that looks good to you and your wallet. Full systems make more peak power than a slip on. Of all the systems only Big Gun and Muzzy have had dyno charts posted and there was a very minimal difference. Jetting would be based on system and elevation. Just remove the snorkel from the airbox, or remove the lid entirely but I couldn't get it jetted right across the whole rev range with the lid off.
I was told for a 250 a slip on is ok. If however you want to go 300 or 331 then the full system is a must. I have ordered a staintune slipon myself and was told if I upgraded down the track (300cc big bore)I could buy the header and install itwith out any problems. Some pipes wont be so easy to install without some modificationsthough, so find out from the supplier first if there will be any dramas later on down the track.
Cheers!
