Default need new shock guards!

Put a new trailwing 301 on my front wheel today. Piece of cake really. I have saved the price of a new set of tires just by installing them myself. Only one problem , I managed to break my shock guards by twisting the shocks asI took the wheel off . Word of advice, take them off to change the front tire. I was really surprised , the plastic was really brittle and broke very easily. Sorry no pics ,just a little comp illiterate. Whats good for aftermarket shock guards.

I had to read that a couple of times, I thought you were trying to change the tire without taking it off the bike, and I was all like WTF (What The Freak) that's weird, I never had an issue with the guards. Sorry man, can't help you out.[&:]

Do you mean the fork guards? If so, Maier and Acerbis makes them for the KX250 which will fit the KLX with just a little modification. I don't think they're bullet-proof though.

Word on the KX guards. You need guides too. UFO sells a set with guides. Some modification required. I have a set on my bike & they look alot better than the square KLX guards.

The stock guards are brittle, the KX guards are more flexible like the rest of the plastic on the bike.
