Well... I need new bars. Im 5'11" (if that matters) id like a taller set, and hand guards. There was a thread here somewhere about it... but want someone's input that's my height.

I can say, from personal experience, that if you make your bars much higher or wider, you will need longer cables.

The bad, as of a couple months ago, Motion Pro does not make them as a stock item and have to be ordered as a custom, and more expensive, order. So, what should cost around $50, costs a bit over $100.

If you are talking about some nice new Pro Tapers or Renthal with universal riser adapters, it'll run you about $250ish total. That's without the hand guards.

I went with Cycra hand guards and they fit, barely, but solidly.

 

I just installed bar risers, about 1.5 inches, and didn't need longer cables. May have had to re-route the clutch cable a little.

 

If you have to buy new bars, look at the ATV bends. They're usually a few inches higher and the bars cost the same as the bike bars with the lower bends. The bars are all 7/8 so they will work no problem. Less cost than new bars and risers.

Okay Gary, if Ray doesnt want em u can havem.. heres a pic its a rightious setup.. the powermadd has spoilers, vents, mirrors, and alum bars.. all i want is to paypal me the shipping cost.
