After reading all these threads, you guys, and gals, seem to know a lot about modifing
your KLX's. So if you would be so kind as to hook me up with options for after market
mods, such as pipes,300 or 330 head with explanations why either one might be better.
I love the fact that a lot of you have your personal mods listed with your replys. COOL
Anyhow, have stock 250klx and some extra cash to dump into it to make it a real animal.
Do more off road than on with this bike. Have a KDX 220R for the real crazy stuff. Also
have a Kaw 650i Brute Force Quad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx and keep up theads, there a blast to read.

Bill's 351 kit with your pipe of choice is the best place to start.

 

13-45 or 13-47 gearing helps in the single track snotty stuff. You'll need a longer chain though.

 

Dump the KACR (smog) if you haven't already. Do a Bill Blue 351cc upgrade with a pumper carb and you can skip the sprocket and chain swap.

 

Junk the airbox lid and rejet that carb'
