illenium, I would put in the 132 mainjet if I were you.

Hey - anyone notice in that PDF for the new Dynojet kit, that:
a) the 250S kit has a lot more mainjets included than the 300 kit
b) the part number on the drill bit is DD 5/32 - 5/32nds? Wasn't it 7/64th's in the 300 kit?
c) the needle is different than the 300 kit
d) it includes a new slide spring (I wonder what the difference is? I actually cut my stock slide spring by 3/4" because I'd heard it improves throttle response.)

A Bike that is jetted a little rich always starts and runs....the lean ones got the power...just sayin.

btw a 130 with 38 pilot would probably be better for a 250 sleeve.....BUUUUUUT I never tried a dyno needle before.

My mods are done, the bike runs great and I can feel it on the seat. Very happy of the mods and thank you guys for your help. My next post will be a comparison on the road and in the trails between a moded KLX and a stock WR. One of my friends just bought a brand new one. C'ant wait to try it...

see ya!

the 5/32 drill bit is to drill a hole in the a/f screw plug. To remove the plug so you can adjust the a/f mixture, in kit 2206 your provided a pan head screw to thread into to pry it out with.

Also, is your airbox loud with no lid? I heard it was with no lid...And that people are getting lousy results with no lid since some kind of vacuum suction is what the carb needs...

From the supermotojunkie forums

"The KDX snorkel has about 10 times (unscientific) the hole than the stock KLX one does. Several people have tried the "no lid" approach with lousy results. Either they can't get the jetting right, or the intake noise is too much for them. I'm sure the airbox is nothing like the KDX airbox. The KLX is a four stroke and the KDX is a 2 stroke. The KLX uses a CV type carb which needs a bit of airbox vacuum to work properly. Velocity stacks, pod filters and open airboxes just don't work well with these carbs. The KDX is a WAAAY different animal. The reason the KDX snorkel works well here, is that is fits in the stock place, is fairly quiet, and flows lots more air. I haven't done mine yet, but the others on the links I listed above (lots of KLX owners) have done all the research for us..."

I took my lid off of my KLX300 and it runs alot better I think. The sound from it doesnt bother me, it's just the sound of more power.
