Default My first Fall......................ride report

So it was about 3:00 pm today, Saturday afternoon, and after being lazy and just sitting around and watching TV, I decided to go down town and check the mail and hit some gravel road to look for some grouse or perhaps a bear. Anyway these pictures are of the ride, and as you can see from some of them, the Alder leaves have started to fall making the trails a little slippery.

I went on this road which I have never been to the end, and all of the sudden I came to a gate, which was tall enough to push the bike right under.

Heading up the main road.

Slipping right under the gate

So here is where it got interesting, the road turned into a quad trail. And I rode this for about 4 miles, and then turned around. I'll have to investigate on another day.

It just keeps going and going....and this awesome trail is only about 10 miles from my house.

After that ride I went to check out some other areas, and I noticed that Rayoneer is getting ready to torch off some brush piles.

Found a quiet place to eat an energy bar, and trust me I needed it!

Took this on the way home, this is after a thinning done a few years ago, notice that the forest floor now has green underbrush growing. Before this the trees were so thick that half of them were going to die anyway.

And then I run into this crap! I hate people that dump in the woods. Grrrrr

And yes I wen through this mud puddle, and many more like it. The bike got dirty and I had fun.

Got back on the main Forest Service road and spotted this cloud, looks like its time to head for the barn.

Just like when you were 7 years old hey! Belt home from school, lay the Huffy down on the lawn and head straight for the waiting Vegemite sandwich. (AUS speak for milk and cookies.)

Its just taking a nap.

Great pics, very pretty wilderness. I leave in Tennessee, and our forest are nothing like that. Way to many briars and thickets.

I'm going back to that trail soon, to see where it comes out.
