has anyone done a sound leveltest on the muzzy exhaust?? i have a dual sport ride coming up and they are sound testing every bike. if you fail you can't ride. muzzy says it passes the 96db test but i'd like to be sure.

 

do you have the quiet insert in? has there been alot of miles through it? If it has had alot of use the packing could be pretty well gone, i know my BG was noticibly more quiet after repacking.

 

no insert in there just the spark arrester screen. how bad would it screw up my jetting if i put a quiet core in there???

 

I noticed a little bit of power loss when I tried the insert, wasn't to drastic but enough that I never put in again.

 

well that's out then. i was going to get the insert just to be safe but not now.. thanks
