Default Muzzy buddy peg solution

I thought about several alternatives to the (minor) buddy peg problem with the Muzzy fit on our bike. I liked bmwhd's idea of just removing it and putting it in the tool pouch with the allen wrench to put it back on when needed. But even that seemed kind've kludgy and inconvenient for those impromptu rides here and there. I also thought about maybe somehow bending the frame mounts a little to get a little different angle on the pipes and thus make the peg clear. But that seems kind've hard and if it doesn't work out, the muffer mounts would be weakened.

Then the solution came to me ... just cut away the part of the buddy peg that scrapes the muffer! So that's what I did and there appears to me to still be plenty of material on the peg to support a lot of weight. Anyway ... photos attached, of course. Oh - this procedure is reversable but you have to buy a new buddy peg. YMMV, and all that.

Nice job Nobrakes. I might try that once I get my Muzzy.
