Default Muzzy & the Passenger Peg

I kind of remember someone saying the passenger footpeg needs to be taken off to make way for the Muzzy slip on (or full system). Can anyone confirm?

Yes I remember that as well. The mechanic didn't even know it was an issue, I showed him when I picked up my bike. The muzzy will install no problem but the foot peg will not open, so some guys take it off, and others have shaved it so it will open, but be careful not to take too much off as it will weaken it and I think someone even had a foot peg break, but I'm not sure if it was that side or not. I took mine off and rounded it enough so that while it does touch when you are opening it, once its open it is not touching the pipe. I have a picture in here somewhere that shows what mine looks like from the inside, here it is.
