Doh! I hadn't even considered the Imperial Gallon. Silly American!

As stated above, I think from the factory the odo is off by about 6% high, whereas the speedo is off by about 10% high. So if you adjusted down by 10%, that explains why your odo is off 3-4% low (?) now. Unfortunately anyone who makes the correction needs to choose which to get right. I'd personally go for a correct odo, since I use it for tracking fuel consumption/range, tracking route distances, etc.

I was considering splitting the difference between the two.

The way it is now; my speed is dead-on and my ODO reads LOWER than actual miles. I should leave it that way for at least another 800 miles to offset it reading HIGH for the first 800 miles.

How could you get it corrected (Odo or Speedo)??
I really didn't understand how could you do that.

63mpg regardless to tire type on a stock motor/exhaust.

45 to 50 mpg, actual, with mileage measured by a Vapor computer and compared/corrected with GPS.

With the Vapor, I also get actual Ride Time. My average velocity is somewhere around 7 to 10 mph, and average fuel burn rate is around 2 to 3 or more hours per gallon, which I think speaks either to my very slow riding techniques and/or the tight, twisty 1st & 2nd gear trails we often find ourselves on
